4. Lake Farmington

Lake Farmington covers 215 acres and is managed by the City of Farmington. It is popular for family friendly outdoor adventures and is open year-round for fishing and seasonally to electric and non-motorized watercraft.

Facilities
The area features trails for mountain biking, horseback riding and wildlife watching.

Fees
Access fee starting April 15, 2017. Additional fees required for boating; no fuel powered watercraft and all craft must be inspected.

Fishing
Fishing is permitted year round. Lake species include rainbow trout, largemouth bass, catfish and even pike.

  • Water Recreation
    A section of the lake, The Beach, is open for swimming. Lifeguards and water play equipment onsite. Entrance to The Beach is free. Hours are 7 days a week from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. May - August. Weekends only August - September. The lake has recently opened to electric and non-motorized boating. Watercraft passes are available at the lake after boat inspection. Kayaks available for rent.

    Allowed All pets must be on a leash.
    Allowed Swimming and wading only in designated areas and times.
    Not Allowed No alcoholic beverages.
    Not Allowed No hunting or discharging of firearms.
