Aztec Museum and Pioneer Village features a large collection of local and regional historical artifacts displayed in a two-story, multi-roomed main building and a Pioneer Village with original and replicas of 14 businesses, public buildings and personal dwellings giving guests the experience of an old Southwest pioneer town. Tour firsthand the doctor's and sheriff's offices, blacksmith and foundry, an 1880 pioneer cabin, general store and post office, and the Cedar Hill Church-all painstakingly reconstructed from the original buildings.
The Museum features artifacts related to the area’s ancestral Puebloans and later indigenous inhabitants, as well as nearby Hispanic communities and early Anglo pioneer families.
