Recapture Reservoir (Map #2)
Located north of Blanding, UT, Recapture Reservoir is a hidden little treasure which lies in the shadows of the Abajo Mountains. Built in the 1980s, Recapture Reservoir filled Recapture Wash which used to have a lumber mill located in the valley.
Activities
Small water craft and fishing.
Facilities
Boat ramps are located on the east and west sides which were the original Hwy 191. Dispersed camping, no facilities.
The nearest camping facility, Devil's Canyon Campground, is located approximately 4.5 miles north off of US 191. Devil's Canyon Campground has drinking water and vault toilets are available. User fees are charged.

No lake use fees required.
A valid fishing license required from Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
Fishing
This reservoir is stocked with northern pike, largemouth bass, black bullhead and green sunfish.
A mercury consumption advisory is in place for largemouth bass and black bullhead at Recapture Reservoir.
