Equestrian Trails
For the avid horse rider, there are a number of equestrian riding trails within the San Juan County area. From established trails to open range, the riding enthusiast has the opportunity to experience a wide variety of landscapes, scenery, and ecological zones from badlands to canyons and mesa tops. In addition, Region 3 of the NATRC sponsors several riding competitions each year in Northwest New Mexico. Region 3 covers the Rocky Mountain States of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. Learn how to become a member and how to register for a ride.
