Located within the town of Cortez is the Hawkins Preserve. Its at this preserve where 11 trails exist. All the trails at Hawkins Preserve are easy and numerous. It's up to the hiker / walker to determine a route. Numerous trail loops can be created by combing several of the short trail segments.
