Located approximately 4.5 miles south of the town of Rico, is the Ryman Trail. The trailhead and parking is easily accessible from Colorado Hwy 145. The first 1.3 miles is relatively level. Then one reaches the junction in the trail. It is recommended to go left (clockwise) so as to get the steep hike portion done at the beginning of the hike. This portion of the trail is more defined and takes one through aspen/conifer forest. The lower Ryman Creek trail can be less obvious and sometimes overgrown in spots. For the most part it follows the creek back to the junction.
